A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available to provide specialized services for a K-12 school district in Redmond, WA. This contract role spans the current school year with potential extension into the next academic year. The ideal candidate will serve students ages 3 to 22 across the district, delivering comprehensive support tailored to meet the diverse needs of approximately 70 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to create and implement effective therapeutic strategies.
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation in compliance with district and state regulations.
- Provide support alongside an experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to enhance service delivery.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing occupational therapy services in school settings.
- Valid Washington State Occupational Therapy license.
- Strong understanding of school-based OT practices and relevant laws.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 70 students effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
